The Tree Lighting began in 2012 and was reimagined in 2021 as WinterFest. WinterFest had many added activities, drawing more than 1,000 people for a night that proved just how much St. Michael loves to celebrate together. It turns out, there’s nothing quite like kicking off winter with your neighbors, sharing some holiday spirit, and making memories that last long after the snow melts. This can’t-miss event is brought to you by the St. Michael Lions, in collaboration with the City of St. Michael, DiscoverSTMA, and the St. Michael-Albertville Rotary Club. Every year, we’re dreaming up new ways to make WinterFest even better, with fresh experiences and plenty of festive fun for everyone in town. You’ll find the festivities at St. Michael City Hall & Town Center Park, inside and out—so there’s always something to explore, no matter the weather. Round up the whole family and join the party!
